Remus had taken the return to Hogwarts in his stride. He was glad to be back at the castle again. This summer had been eventful with James and Sirius across the road and that had made his tranformations all the more bearable. After the first day of lessons he decided that after finishing a rather lengthy essay for Slughorn he would go for a stroll around the azure lake. The castle was quiet as he slowly made his way down into the Entrance HalL, he had only bumped into Nearly - Headless Nick. The grounds too were quiet and peaceful and a blanket of fog lay low to the ground. He stood on the steps for a minute before moving on into the mist. The lake shimmered in the weak sunlight as he sat down at the base of a broad oak tree. He watched the movements of the squid across the lake before closing his eyes and relaxing, listening to the call of the owls in the tower.

Willow had been listening intently to her good friend Constance who was talking about getting references for a job she wanted to try to take this summer as they were taking a walk around the school yard, almost toward the lake. However, she did a double take as someone to the left of her looked vaguely familiar. "So want to come with me while I ask him?" Constance was asking, interuppting Willow's thoughts. She knew this guy from somewhere, she couldn't remember from where or who he was. They hadn't had a class before, not that she was aware of. Was he knew? He didn't look new... "Earth to Willow," Constance said, snapping her fingers. "Uh- Go ahead," Willow said as her words came back to her. "I-" she paused, lost in her thoughts again. "I'll catch up with you at dinner in a little bit." At least she hoped she would be back for dinner, this guy was a Hogwarts student, but Willow never just randomly went up to someone she didn't even know or couldn't remember. Constance gave Willow a weird look. "Ok, no need for the mysterious tone, remember dinner starts at six, an hour from now," she stated, giving her a meaningful look. Willow gave her a strange look in return, but Constance shrugged and headed toward the castle.
Willow hesitated for a moment and looked over at the other student. Why was he so familiar? She almost decided to follow Constance anyway but right when she turned to follow her, at the last minute she turned and walked over the boy. She quietly neared him and stopped when she realized he was sleeping and backed up as her heart pounded as if she got caught when she hadn't. She remembered him from somewhere, but she wasn't about to disturb a stranger sleeping. She really should have just gone with Constance back to the castle, she didn't even know what she would have said if the guy was awake! As of now only she knew of her embarressing move.
