"Well then, I guess I'll just have to continue to waste my breath," Bellatrix replied simply. She was incredibly stubborn. Really there was very little that Andromeda could do to get Bellatrix to give up short of being disowned. With Andromeda though, that was obviously quite possible. Bella was determined not to let that happen though. Really, one traitor in the generation was enough. But two? It simply was not allowed. The Blacks were practically royalty, it'd be terrible for their reputation.
Bellatrix laughed. "Oh really? And how would you know that?" she questioned. "You're not in Slytherin with us. You don't know whether we talk in the common room. And besides that, I was just talking to her here the other day when I told her about the arranged marriages. She said herself that she was okay with it. She trusts mother and father to know what is right for us and my opinion of Lucius."
"What about 'Cissa then?" she asked. "She's a Slytherin who I associate with," Bella continued. "She talks to the same people I do. She may not be just like me, and I don't expect her to be, but she is not like you because she cares about our family."
Their younger sister would always be a point of contention between Andy and Bella. It was unfortunate for Narcissa but inevitable given the rivalry between the older girls. Bellatrix was quite proud that Cissa was a Slytherin like her. Granted, Narcissa was different from Bella in many ways but as far as she was concerned, Narcissa was on her side, even if she did sometimes talk to Andromeda.
"You don't know a bloody thing about Rod. You spend so much of your time complaining about how I need to look closer at people and not be so judgemental. You're just as bad. Worse actually, because at least I'm not a hypocrite about it," Bellatrix snapped. She was tempted to storm off but that would be a concession and she had been here first so she was not leaving.
