Taylor stepped off the platform and into a sea of other Hogwart students. Taylor was a new student here and didn't know much people. Taylor looked around in awe of how many kids there were and the magic some of them were doing. Even though Taylor was born a half witch and surrounded by magic, it amazed her that there were so many different people knew how to use magic and that they were going to Hogwarts. The school she was going to. It was all so amazing to her. Suddenly, someone bumped into her. She fell onto the ground and all she saw were dozens and dozens pairs of legs all around her. Suddenly, she saw a hand reach out to her and she grabbed it.

Marisa hadn't been very into studying today, something very unusual for a Ravenclaw. She sighed as she shoved her way through the swarm of Hogwarts students, trying to find someone or something to do. Her normally straight blond hair was now a little frizzy, her usual smile now turned into a frown. She sighed angrily as she shoved more people aside. Can't these people just, well, move? Finally, she noticed that she knocked someone down and immediately felt guilty. "I'm so sorry!" she cried as she bent down to help this person up. "I'm just in a hurry." Okay, maybe she wasn't, but who would know the truth. "I'm Marisa, and you are...?"

Taylor stood up after the stranger had helped her. "My name's Taylor. I'm new here but I already got sorted. I'm in Ravenclaw and yours is?" Taylor asked with a smile. Taylor took note that the girl looked pretty, with slight out of control frizzy hair. Taylor then said, "It's okay. Thanks for helping me up though. To be honest, I wasn't paying attention to the people around me so it's my fault too."

"Don't worry, I fell over on my first time here. I'm in Ravenclaw too. I can show you around, if you want." Marisa took some of the books from Taylor's hand. Before they started to walk, she took out her wand out of her front pocket. Quickly, she straightened her hair so no one can comment on her bad hair day. At this moment, she was acting a little vain. "Where are you from? I know that you aren't from around here, but what was the last school you went to?" she was curious where this new girl was from and couldn't hide her curiosity.

Taylor smiled fondly at the girl. "Thanks. I'd love it if you would show me around," Taylor said happily. "I'm actually from New York. My family lives there but they sent me to school. Actually, I went to public school before coming here. My mom's a muggle so she wanted me to finish muggle school before going to magic school. I finished the 12 year curriculum in less than 12 years so my parents let me come to Hogwarts to learn how to use magic. I've never really used it before." Taylor was surprised at herself for spilling out so much information about herself to someone she barely knew. 'Must be my nerves,' Taylor thought.

Marisa smiled at Taylor, thinking that she and this new girl could get along. Whens she found out the new girl was from America, she was a little shocked but hid her shock well. "So...what do you know about magic?" she was curious since she wanted to find something else to talk about. "What is Muggle school like?" she was fascinated by the fact that maybe one of her new friends had lived with Muggles for so long without losing her mind! "I've heard it can be a bothersome school." She took arms with Taylor and pulled her through the crowed so the two wouldn't get crushed by other people walking towards the school.

Taylor smiled at Marisa for her enthusiasm. "Well, my parents taught me some basic magic stuff and then went into advance into my favorite subjects like transfiguraion, astronomy, charms, defense against the dark arts, history of magic, and potions. I know lots of spells but I actually haven't used magic expect in class," Taylor told her as Marisa plled her through the crowd. "Well, muggle school is really bothersome. There is lots of homework, tests, but I love seeing my friends. I guess Hogwarts will be different than that right?" Taylor asks hopefully.

Marisa was thrilled when Taylor continued talking about her old Muggle school and when she realized that Taylor had asked a question, it took her a minute to reply. "Well, most of the teachers give lots of homework, but you want to be nice or they'll take points off our house. And, there are lots of cute boys in the school." she tried not to blush when she mentioned boys. "And besides, you'll make plenty of new friends if you stick close to me." She shook her head. "But it can't be that much different. Anyways, what do you think of England?" Marisa was hoping now that Taylor would carry on the conversation.

When Marisa mentioned boys, Taylor's eyes lit up. "Ooh. Cute boys are always a plus," Taylor said with a smile."The school sounds great and I'm usually nice so I should be okay." Taylor was looking forward to meeting new friends with Marisa and hanging out with her more. "Well, I really love England. It's so beautiful but I still can't get used to the different vocabulary you guys have. I'm so not used to it yet" Taylor said with a laugh.

Marisa laughed a little. "We Brits don't know the American vocabulary that well either, so theirs something new for all of us!" She grabbed Taylors arm when the crowed got big to make sure she didn't get lost. "Yeah, I think British boys are not as cute as American boys, but maybe I'm wrong. We do have a lot of blokes though. And some like to play pranks on other students, but don't let that bother you too much." Suddenly, Marisa had an idea. "Have you ever had a Chocolate Frog?"

"Yeah, I'd love to hang out with some cute guys. Uh, blokes you call it? Okay. I'll have to make sure I remember that though I'll probably forget," Taylor said with a laugh. Taylor's eyes lit up as she heard the word pranks. "I love pranks. I was the ultimate prankster at my old school with my best friend, Jake. It was so awesome there," Taylor said with a hint of sadness. Taylor scrunched up her nose as she heard chocolate frog. "Chocolate frog? You guys kill frogs and dip them in chocolate. And then eat them?" Taylor asked in ridicule. She knew that Brits were different than Americans but she never pegged them to be THAT different.

Marisa laughed as she took out a package from her pocket. "Why don't you try this? We don't eat live frogs anyways. That was would horrid!" She laughed for another minute before continuing.
"Yeah, you'd get along with some guys great then, since some just cannot stop pranking," she smiled. This girl was actually nice and cool for an American. As she watched Taylor eat the chocolate frog, she smiled. "Ho was it?"

Taylor blushed in her error. Her cheeks turned a bright red like she often did when she assumed something that wasn't true. Taylor took the frog from Marisa and opened the packaged. Then, she hesistantly took a bite from it. Taylor's eyes went big as the bold and sweet flavor of the chocolate melted in her mouth. Taylor shoved, unlady-likely, the entire chocolate frog in her mouth. 'This is the best chocolate ever,' Taylor thought. "That is amazing. I'll defintely have to buy some from Hogwarts. They do sell them right?" Taylor asked as she looked at the cover of the chocolate frog.

Marisa laughed, pleased that Taylor was enjoying her chocolate frog. She remembered when she had first tried her chocolate frog and how her reaction was most likely the same. "Yeah, they sell then in Hogsmead Village. We usually go down a couple times a year. You could sneak down too, if you want. It won't matter, cause the professors won't really care." Marisa had a bite of her chocolate frog too and smile when the familiar flavor came to her taste buds.

"Yea, that's great! I love these chocolate frogs so much," Taylor smiled as she licked the remains of the chocolate from her mouth and fingers. "What other sweets do they have at Hogwarts? I should probably make a list of all the things I should buy," Taylor said as she took out a tissue from the bag and wiped her hands. "Do they have any jelly beans? Jelly beans are my favorite type of candy ever," Taylor expressed as she aimed for the trashcan. With a quick flick of her wrist, the crumpled up tissue sailed into the garbage.
