Living In The Moment --{Sirius}-- « Thread Started on Apr 25, 2008, 10:27pm »
A lazy hand loosely holding a dirty old rag drearily wiped the many identical trophies in the claustrophobic, dusty old room. "Goodness Rieya, you really are the worst little Hufflepuff I have ever come across," she muttered under breath in a high pitched, sarcastic voice, "A good Hufflepuff ALWAYS follows instructions, by that I mean no Forbidden Forest Rieya! Rieya are you even listening?" she muttered again in the same tone of voice.
She continued to mutter under her breath, words of hatred and unfairness, it seemed as though the world was always out to get her one way or another, and the head of Hufflepuff never let her forget how much of an embarrasment she was.
Rieya planted herself on the ground with her back against the hard stone wall, the rays of sunlight contouring her body. She huffed in frustration at not having her wand, because she might use it to clean the trophies. So she began draw pictures on the dusty floor below, spelling out her name in big letters and a little stick figure kangaroo. She laughed at her lame artistic skills and rolled onto her side, letting the dust blow up with every sharp breath she took.

"A hufflepuff? Wanting to go into the Forbidden Forest? HOW CLICHE!" Sirius's booming voice came from nearby, trying not to laugh as the girl continued speaking to each other. He'd laugh at a Slytherin, yes. But he wouldn't laugh at this girl, since she wasn't in Slytherin. "Nice drawings," he commented with an eyebrow raised.

She raised an eyebrow at him and sat up, "It's just my name and a stick with a tail and a head" she said. She stood up but leant against the wall and folded her arms. The great Sirius Black himself, in the flesh, master of michief and mayhem. "Meh, he doesn't seem to intimidating" she thought to herself as she looked him up and down. "Name's Rieya" she said in her thick Australian accent.

Sirius widened his eyes and smirked. "Oh man... you don't want to see me make a smiley face, I'm telling you its not a pretty sight!" he chuckled as she showed him the picture for him to have a better look. He flashed a smile out of habit and held a hand out. "Sirius Black..." he made a face. "As you probably already know." Why oh why did he have such a fan club and have every girl in the whole school know about him and his business? He couldn't even start off fresh without people being reminded of who he was.
Hell he couldn't get his best friend to get past the idea how he was just a guy who what was the term Lori said? Oh yeah liked a party in his pants? These thoughts made his expression grow blank again due to the fact that that part of him was making him irritated. He was irritated with fan girls, almost irritated with girls... wait no he couldn't be irritated with girls. But could he settle down? Thatd be the day when Lori got a boyfriend...

She just stood there as he seemed to drift off to a far away place before quickly getting bored, honestly, she wasn't the typical Hufflepuff, she didn't seem to belong in any house. "Ookaay, well as fun as this has been Mr Black I have to get back to cleaning every inch of this tower before the professor returns in about...oh 3 hours now" she scowled as she bent down and snatched up her rag and turned to a telescope to polish.
"You know, I'm sorta new, so the only thing I've heard about you is your a rebel. Why don't you put my in the right?" she asked slowly as she turned around and leant back on the window ledge. She was known to be judgemental, extremely judgemental at that, but this guy looked worth a go.

"Every inch of the tower miss?" Sirius sputtered before he could stop himself. "Thats nearly impossible! Allow me to take the burden from you, the professor probably said no magic for you but they never said anything bout anybody else!" He reached for his wand in his robes only to discover it wasn't there. He sighed and looked at her. "Erm... I could do it with yours?" he asked a bit feebly, not liking using anybody elses wands.
"And what exactly did you mean by rebel?" he asked carefully, peering at her.

She raised her hands in a shrugging motion to his request to use her wand, "Sorry, Professor took it off me" she sighed as she turned back to the telescope and slowly stroked it with her rag. A small smile present on her face, this guy seemed nice enough, funny too.
She tilted her head and half turned back to him, "You know, rebel, rule breaker, mischief maker, rebels agaisnt people" she said, a little in disbelief, maybe it was only Aussies who said 'rebel'. She sighed and turned back to her polishing.

Sirius raised an eyebrow. "And yet you my aussie accented girl, are doing any better at this "rebel" by doing your proffessor's bidding?" he retorted, crossing his arms and glanced at her as if to say, what do you have next?

She spun back around and took a few steps towards him, leaving the rag on the telescope she was free to put her hands on her hips and give him a friendly glare. She was about half a head shorter than him, but he didn't scare her, not in the slightest. She replaced her pleasent smile with a cheeky, mischievious one.
"I, sir, am not a rebel. I am a good little Hufflepuff" she said, mocking the Hufflepuff Professors voice exactly. "Hufflepuff's don't rebell, you should know that" she said with a wink as she spun back around and walked back to her rag and telescope.

"Hufflepuffs don't rebel," Sirius muttured under his breath, rolling his eyes. He looked over at Rieya and spoke so she could here, "Again, cliche, cliche, cliche. That's why hufflepuffs are like... in a rut! And come on, you almost were there! You took the first few steps toward rebellion just then! Think you can dare to step off of the cliche boat?" he taunted, winking at her.

She half turned her head, though not completely looking at him, more just indicating she was listening. She smirked and let her eyes drop so they were cast down. The wiping of telescopes in her hand slowed down to her stopped as she slowly turned fully around to him, loosely crossing her arms.
"Are you trying to lead me astray Mr Black?" she smirked as she took a few steps towards him and dropped the rag right in front of him, "Ok then, lead me away from this rut" she purred.

Sirius raised an eyebrow at the girl and smiled, glad she came ot her senses about cleaning for a professor. He always slept during detentions because half the time he always usually had his wand hidden. He grinned at the girl, liking her instantly. Whether or not she'd be his next conquest or friend, he didn't know. But he liked how different she seemed from others.
"Gladly, Cinderella," He teased, offering his arm and flashing her his most charming smile that had a major impact on most girls.
